04 Mar Why fitness centre workouts trump home workouts every time!
Like so many of us, we’re pretty sure that you too, at some point of time in your life, have thought that you could do without going to the fitness centre. Instead, opting to workout at home. Hand on heart, however, while that might work out for some people, plans or intentions of this ilk end up running out of steam almost as soon as they are conjured up for the majority of us.
Now, that’s the prime reason why fitness centre goers swear by their centres of choice. What’s more, we’ve compiled a few reasons here as to why choosing a fitness centre over simply working at home is absolutely the bee’s knees, and something you should add to your life, pronto!
Get into the swing of things: Now, I’m sure that we all unanimously agree that regular and frequent workouts are the way to go if we’re going to get fit and stay healthy. Given all that, routine is key, and there’s nothing like having a fitness centre to visit everyday to take care of this particular need. Home workouts on the other hand calls for willpower and discipline in spades, and we all know this is often in short supply. On the flipside, once you sign up at the fitness centre, you just get up and go, day after day. It becomes automatic, irreplaceable, and before you know it – enjoyable and essential.
Loaded and Equipped: While some of us may have loads of money knocking about, the vast majority of us have very little left over to spend on expensive fitness equipment. That aside, you need the space (and lots of it) to keep the cumbersome stuff at home. That in itself is reason enough for you to sign up at the closest fitness place in your area, which, (surprise, surprise) has all the equipment you need, and then some!
Trained to train: Now, this next bit should hardly shock or awe you, but we’re sure you wouldn’t be surprised to learn that many people think that they know it all (we’ve met a few of them, haven’t we?). That includes those who think they can do without an expert fitness trainer.
In our book, having a trainer as part of your team is extremely beneficial, not to mention crucial! A fitness trainer can draw up a plan, and set regular goals that’s expressly tailored to your needs. Moreover, he or she will be there at the start, at the end, and in between, egging you onward towards the prize. Besides, they ensure that you give it your very best everyday, even prescribing equipment that will work for you, while also ensuring that you don’t injure yourself in the process.
The company you keep: This factor is often overlooked, but we feel is quite essential to complete the picture. Working out with friends, partners, or simply fellow fitness-centre-goers-turned friends can be quite amazing and invigorating. Each one in the group can help the other stay regular and push harder. That aside, these sort of relationships can remove the tedium and monotony that exercising alone can often become. Sometimes, we all need a reason to go to the fitness centre, and having some great company there is reason enough. Well, so that’s just some of the reasons why home workouts just don’t cut the mustard, and why heading down to the closest fitness centre is simply the way to go – all day, everyday!
